New Year's Eve

We got to have an adult night out for New Year's Eve! Two girls from our neighborhood babysat for us all at the Rudd's house so that a group of 10 of us could go out to a nice dinner at Lucas Park Grille in St. Louis. Allan and I don't get out much (at least not to upscale restaurants) so it was lots of fun! We made it home to relieve the sitters by 10 pm and put the older kids to bed. Then we played our traditional NYE games - The Basement Olympics! As couples, we compete in Pop-a-Shot, darts, Bounce (a homemade game), and Just Dance. Unfortunately, we came in 4th place out of five couples, but we had a blast doing it! I wish I could have recorded Allan and I dancing to MmmmBop - it was not a pretty sight! We stayed until about 1:30.

Craig got the stomach bug, so Ness decided to still come - and we're glad she did! Our waiter, Kemper, acted as a stand-in.
