Like Father, Like Daughter

Tonight, Delaney was invited by the Garmans to go to the circus in Belleville.  Harper was a little put out, so after church she got to choose where we had dinner (Wendy's) and dessert (Annie's).  She is her Daddy's girl - flavor of choice was chocolate with gummy worms!

Delaney had lots of fun and had plenty of treats of her own!

Memorial Day 2014

The guys decided we needed to have a neighborhood Memorial Day cookout, so everyone brought meat to grill on Brian's grill and a side dish or dessert to share.  A storm blew in, but that only added to the enjoyment of the day!  The guys still played "bags" and the kids thought it was the coolest thing to drive around in the little cars with their umbrellas.  It was a perfect day!
Tony and Scott man the grills.
Yum!
Alayna and Harper chose to sit on the van seats to eat.

Before the storm, the boys made their own watery mess.

The sun was out for a while...
I love this picture of Allan being Bob's caddy with the umbrella while he threw.
So much fun!!  It's amazing that no one got an eye poked out from an umbrella.

Harper's Last Day of Kids First

Today was Harper's last ever day of Kids First Learning Center.  We have thoroughly loved the 6+ years that our girls went there.  I couldn't have asked for more loving teachers or a more caring, Christ-centered environment.

Here are a couple of pictures from Harper's first day of Kids First in September 2010 and some from her last day today.  Notice how her backpack used to be as tall as her waist, now it only goes up to her knees!!

Castlewood

Allan and Keith Timmins did the Conquer Castlewood adventure race for the third year in a row.  This year, the girls and I decided to meet them out there when the race was over to go for a family hike and out to lunch at Fuddruckers afterwards.  The weather was beautiful and the girls were super hikers!  Maybe someday they will have their own adventure team.

Allan and Keith were finished with the race by the time we got there, but we did get to see the award ceremony.  They got 3rd place!!!

Haircut

Allan got a little crazy and let the girls and the neighbors help him cut his hair.  It was pretty funny how much they all wanted to help!  Everyone got a turn buzzing his noggin, then I finished it up.

Graduation Videos

I was having issues with getting the videos uploaded on the last post, but I got them to work now.  Here are some videos from graduation night:

My Pre K Graduate

Harper's Pre K graduation was tonight!  Because of snow days, they will actually still go to school next week, but they decided not to move the previously scheduled graduation night.  She actually did the same 50's-themed program that Delaney did 2 years ago.  That was a bonus for us since we still had the poodle skirt that my mom had made.  I knew that I would probably cry on the song "God Has a Plan for Us", but I did not expect to cry as they walked into the auditorium singing "Let It Go" from Frozen. The song was a last minute addition to the program and each of them just belted it out. So cute!
