Lounging at the Lake

Our great friends, the Rudds, invited us to Krista's parents' condo at the Lake of the Ozarks for a few days. Since Krista is due with their 3rd baby this summer, we decided not to do our annual trip to Florida and took this trip in its place. We had a fantastic time relaxing on their beautiful pontoon boat, looking at the beautiful houses, and swimming at the pool. We went out to eat and to the outlet mall one night, otherwise we grilled out and ate in. Believe it or not, Allan and Brian did most of the cooking while Krista and I were in charge of kids' meals and baking brownies :) We hope we were on our best behavior so we get invited back!!

To me, Delaney looks like she was born to be on a boat! By the end of the trip she was as tan as could be!

Allan was able to get up on the wakeboard on his first try! He looked like a pro.

I took a stab at wakeboarding, but was never able to get up :(

Later in the afternoon, we went back out on the boat, this time with the tube. Allan and I were the first to ride.

The last time we tubed together was before we were married. We hit a big wave and Allan's elbow chipped my front tooth. This ride was much smoother :)

Krista and Tyler gave it a shot. You can imagine how slow Brian drove with his 8 month prego wife and 4 year old son .

I think Harper fell asleep everytime we got on the boat, which was great for us because we didn't adhere to our normal nap schedule.

Brian ditched the kid and Allan picked up the speed. Needless to say, both guys were hell-bent on flipping the other one, but no one ever fell off the tube!

First up were Delaney and Mommy. I have her propped up so it just looks like she's riding by herself :)

Brian drove a little faster with us than with the other kids. While we were riding, Delaney told me, "I love this!"

Tyler loves riding on the boat and is a big helper with the tube rope and telling when people are ready to be finished.

It rained for a bit, so we put the top up on the boat and all the kids took shelter and had a snack.

When Harper wasn't sleeping, she liked to sit on the floor of the boat and play.

No pics from Day 3, but we just went on another boat ride and ate at El Capitan, a delicios Mexican place on the lake. It was fun for all of us to pull up in the boat and walk up the dock to eat.
