Harper has been surprisingly nervous about starting a new school and going to Kindergarten this year. I thought for sure she would be so excited and ready to join Delaney. I think she felt a little bit better after going to the Kindergarten orientation on Monday night and meeting Ms. Culkin. Delaney also joined us so she could check out Mrs. Herman's room and find her seat and locker.
Last night the girls both had horrible behavior. I'm sure it was due to nerves and anxiety, but it didn't make it any easier to deal with. We had both of them in bed by 7:20 because we knew they needed to get a good night's sleep for the first day of school. Thankfully, God heard our prayers and Harper woke up ready and excited to start school. We had the most stress-free first day of school ever! I don't go back to work until next week so I didn't have to rush home on my plan time to get pictures. I feel so lucky that both Allan and I got to take them and pick them up on their first days. All of the neighborhood kids were outside getting pics and running around which helped put my girl at ease.
