Zoo Party

Delaney's friend from school, Kate, had a birthday party at the zoo today! It was our first zoo party and Delaney was super excited. Harper stayed with Mama, so Delaney and I could have some special time together. We were a little late because I had trouble finding a parking spot then I got us lost inside the zoo! We missed a little bit of the scavenger hunt inside the Insectarium. After the scavenger hunt, they led us to a party room "behind the scenes" where the kids had some free play with different backyard animal toys. Then they had circle time where the zoo personnel brought out 4 different animals for the kdis to touch - a guinea pig, python snake, rabbit, and bearded dragon lizard. Delaney was brave and touched all of them! She also answered many of the questions correctly :) Next, we moved into the cake room where each child and adult was given a huge cupcake that was decorated to look like a lion - very cool! Then Kate opened her gifts and it was time to go. We had a lot of fun!
