I just love our neighborhood! In addition to the bike parade, they also have an annual 4th of July Block Party complete with food, drinks, waterslide, band, and fireworks! The organizers did a fantastic job putting it all together. They planned lots of kid-friendly activities like tattoos, chalk, hula hoops, sprinklers, bobbing for apples, and even an Icee Truck! Everyone brought their own tables, chairs, and canopies in preparation for a long night of hanging out. This was our first year going and we invited the Joneses to come along. As with the bike parade earlier in the day, the humidity was horrendous but a small shower came through and cooled us all down. We did take cover in someone's garage for awhile, though. We didn't stay for the whole night because we already had plans to head down to Granite for the fireworks, but I heard the neighborhood fireworks were great. I think we'll make this a yearly tradition!
