The girls have been off all week for their Spring Break and I only had today off since we had a week-long break in March. Allan got finished with his conference calls by 11:00 am, then we headed over to Forest Park for a family day. After a horribly cold and long winter, the sun and blossoming trees were especially beautiful. We knew that the zoo would be crazy with other families who also had Good Friday off, so we decided instead to have a picnic lunch outside of the Planetarium. Then we walked around the tulips outside of the Jewel Box and finished up by playing at the playground near the visitor's center.
We were excited to find a few of the "250" cakes that are all over the Metro area in celebration of St. Louis's 250th birthday! Delaney's teacher has been sharing with her students that she and her family are trying to find all 250 of them. Delaney wanted to be sure to get some pictures of her own to show Mrs. McDaniel.
We finished up our day with dessert at Coffee Cartel in the Central West End.
