Halloween Overload!

This family is on Halloween overload! As usual, we Trick-or-Treated downtown E-ville on Saturday afternoon and in our neighborhood on the 30th, then went to the Halloween parade on the 31st. I love that we get our money's worth out of the costumes!

Delaney is a strawberry (although several people thought she was watermelon) and Harper is a cupcake.

We met up with the Rudds - Tyler and Lucas both insisted on being robots this year.

Daddy squeezes in a picture. I was trying to capture the pretty colors of the tree in the background.

Harper tries to sneak in a rice krispie treat.

We all forgot our treat bags, so Mr. Brian ran to Walgreens to get some plastic bags. Our hero! We just had to accept the fact that the kids looked a little white trash.

Landon and Brody (as Spiderman and a spider) joined us at the end.

Claire and Luke (Jesse and Woody) stopped by before going to Trick-or-Treat with some other friends on the 30th.

Can Luke be any more handsome?!? Love that boy!

We love candy!!!

Honey and Grandpa also stopped by to give the girls a treat - some candy and some coins for the water bottles that we're filling with quarters and dimes to buy water filters for families in Africa.

At about 6:00 on Sunday, the Garmans and Smallies came by to go around the neighborhood. We were so lucky to see almost all of our friends this weekend!

Cate is Cinderella, Alayna is a dalmation, and Luke and Logan are firefighters.

Here comes trouble!
This is the "scary" house one street over that goes all out for Halloween! Even the sky looks kind of ominous in the background. The girls made Allan go up to the door at this house.

But otherwise, they were happy to run up and down the driveways and ring the doorbells while the adults stayed down in the street.

Harper and Cate were so sweet holding hands.

We were out in the 'hood for about an hour, then came back to hand out candy on our front porch. I think the girls liked giving the candy almost as much as they liked getting it. Both of them would put huge handfuls in the other kids' bags.

Finally, it was Monday night which meant parade time. We sat with the Joneses and the Browns at a different spot than normal. I liked it because it wasn't as crowded so we could actually set out chairs and a blanket. It was also nearer the beginning of the parade route.

Taking a rest with Claire before the parade started.

Throw us some candy!

Daddy helps keep the girls out of the way of the marching band.

Mommy and the girls.

Shortly before the parade ended we high-tailed it out of there and had the girls home and in bed by 8:30. I was exhausted and was in bed myself by 9:15!!
