Turkey Trot

Today our family did our first ever Turkey Trot 5K put on by Edwardsville Families in Need. I was expecting a little, laid-back event, but there were actually over 250 people there - a great turnout! I planned to run with Ness and Allan was going to run with some guys from work. We saw a lot of people that we know there. The temperature was perfect for a run, but maybe a little chilly for the girls in the joggers. Allan did it in around 25 minutes and I did it in around 35 minutes. They didn't use chip timing and the course was just out and back on the bike trail, which made it very hard to pass people - especially with the strollers. We had a lot of fun and rewarded ourselves with hot chocolate on the way home. Hope to do it again next year!

Not a great picture of the family - I promise we were all having a good time :)

My best running buddy!
