Our neighbor one street over does it up HUGE for Christmas. You may recall one of our Halloween pictures in front of the scary house? This is the same guy. Apparently, he rents a storage unit for all of his holiday decorations and goes all out. The girls have been eagerly awaiting the lighting this year. Gavin's dad took advantage of the mild weather before Thanksgiving and started putting things out, but didn't officially turn them on until Dec. 1. What a tease! I don't blame him, though, can you imagine his power bill? On Dec. 2, we took a family walk over to see the house and pick out our favorite parts of the display.
If we ever come home from somewhere after dark, we have to drive by "Gavin's house" to see the lights. It is also set to music, so we have to roll the windows down. Tonight, Daddy drove especially slow so the girls could hang out the windows and take it all in. I couldn't resist snapping a picture :)
This picture in no way does it justice. If you're ever in our neck of the woods during the Christmas season, make sure you take a drive by this house. It will be worth your while!
