A few weeks ago, my mom asked me if the girls and I would like to join her to see The Nutcracker at the Wildey Theatre, an old theater in downtown E'ville that has been restored for both movies and live performances. I automatically said yes because I have never seen the show and have not yet been to the Wildey. Sarah and Alayna G. also said they were going to go, so we made plans to sit by them.
After sledding all morning, we were excited to get dressed up to go. I honestly thought that we were going to watch a movie version of The Nutcracker until we walked into the beautifully decorated lobby and were given a program. It was an actual live ballet performed by the Turning Point Dance Academy. Fun! I've never been to a real ballet before!
The girls chose to sit in the balcony. It doesn't look like it, but the show was sold out. We just got there early. We all really enjoyed the show and were impressed by the talent of the dancers who ranged from about 6 - 22. Both girls thought that it was "the best show ever" and have been practicing their ballet moves on the hardwood floor in the hallway ever since.
