Santa and Gingerbread House

This morning we went to the Galleria and one of the Chesterfield outlet malls to make a couple of returns.  The whole family went and were great sports and very patient (a Christmas miracle in and of itself!)  The first thing we saw as we entered the Galleria was Santa coming out of a back hallway to walk towards his big chair to begin his day of pictures.  He actually stopped and talked to our girls, but neither of them was interested in hugging him or getting a picture with him.  We smiled smugly as we walked past all of the suckers who stood in line for over an hour and paid a minimum of $25 to have a moment with the big man.

Then, when we were getting ready to enter a store at the outlet mall Santa and Mrs. Claus walked up to the girls to say hello.  This time the girls were much more friendly and willing to let me snap a picture.  Pretty cool.

This evening, we tried to make a gingerbread house again.  We haven't made one since the epic fail gingerbread house 2 years ago.  I don't remember how to link you to that post, but you can look it up if you want a good laugh.  Anyway, last year Allan saw this gingerbread kit on clearance at Home Depot for $1.  It was worth a shot.  As usual, our decorating skills are lacking, but at least the house is still standing!

  1. The Galleria doesn't require you to purchase pictures in order to sit on Santas lap...and you can take your own picture. Frontenac too :)
