Genius
All parents think their kids are brilliant and I'm no exception. Delaney woke up from her nap in a much better mood than she went down for it (see previous post). I offered to play a game with her and she chose the red one (Scrabble). We obviously didn't play it the real way. Instead, I picked out the letters of her name and scrambled them up on the board so she could put them on her rack to spell it. It took her a few minutes to do - I loved listening to her and watching her process through it. She spelled D-E-L-E-A-N-Y the first time. I told her there was one mistake and to say the letters out loud as they were. She found her mistake right away and fixed it. Here's the finished product:
