Memorial Day Biathalon

This morning we went out to watch Allan participate in the annual Memorial Day Biathalon in Highland. He's been doing this event for 10 years. He always has one person (usually his boss) that he's competing against. This year it was Betsy, one of the workers at the store. He didn't really train for it, which kind of bugs me. I mean, not many people can pick up and run 5 miles and bike 15 miles with hardly any training at all!

Getting a good luck kiss from Harper.
And one from Delaney

They're off!

Thankfully there is a very nice playground where the girls could play while waiting for Daddy to be done with the running portion.

Daddy's biggest fans!

Allan ran the 5 miles in 43:18, which was just 1 minute slower than Betsy who has qualified for the Boston Marathon.

More playground time while Daddy was out on the bike.

Allan made up 6 minutes on Betsy and ended up beating her! He finished in 1:27:27. Great job, Babe!

A congratulatory kiss from Delaney.
