Getting out of the car at Delaney's last soccer game...
Me: After your soccer game today you are going to get an award.
D: And everyone will say, "Oh, she's so cute!"
Me: Um, no, that's not what this is about.
Two minutes later as we're walking up to the soccer field, we see Harper's teacher...
Mrs. Jen: Hi Delaney! Don't you look so cute today!
Me: NOOOOO! That's exactly what she doesn't need to hear right now!
Riding in the van on the way home from Target listening to the Christian radio station...
D: Mom, do you like this song?
Me: Yep, how about you?
D: I do like it. It makes me feel like I have a boyfriend and he's singing to me.
