Surprise Snow

This morning we woke up to a beautiful snowy surprise.  It had snowed about 3-4 inches overnight.  Naturally, we bundled up and headed out to play after breakfast.  This snow was not very good packing snow, so no good snowman or snowball fights ensued.  But, the girls did have fun making snow angels and sliding down the slide into the drifts.  We don't have any sleds (but I have since bought some on clearance at Target), so we tried to improvise with the lids from big Rubbermaid containers.  It didn't work; don't waste your time :)

Showing off their snow angels.  I honestly think this may be the first one Harper ever made.

They loved being able to fall straight back on the cushy snow.

Coming after me with a snow clump.

The temperature wasn't too cold, but the wind was whipping, so we went in for hot chocolate after about 45 minutes.  Good times!

  1. You guys are such good parents! Cate is the only one in our house that likes the snow, so we bundled her up and sent her out back by herself!! She had to throw snowballs at the windows we were watching her through :)
