Glen Carbon officially got 13.5 inches of snow yesterday. However, the wind has whipped so hard through the night that we have some bare spots in our lawn and some drifts that are over 3 feet! Our electrical box is almost completely covered. The last two shots are my attempt at using the panoramic feature on my phone camera to show the difference in the snow accumulation in our backyard. Apparently, I don't know how to use it properly because it turned into two pictures instead of one big one. You can see that all of the snow from the west side of the house has blown over to the east side, completely covering our back porch and creating a snow drift as tall as the patio wall. Our house thermometer read -7.8 when we woke up this morning, but at least the sun is out! I'm not sure what our official temp is supposed to be today.
