Unfortunately for us, the smiles didn't last more than 10 minutes into the show. We had incredible seats just 4 rows from the ice, but they were a little too close for Delaney's comfort. The genie from Aladdin came out with a blast of sparks and it all went downhill from there. Delaney was exceptionally afraid of the genie, evil witches, Ursula, Beast, and even the wicked step-mother from Cinderella! She cried for a big portion of the show saying, "I just want to go home!" I'm blaming it on only having 7 hours of sleep the night before. At intermission, I went out to the van to get her blankies, which made the rest of the show bearable, but not really enjoyable. However, she did love the closing number where all of the characters came out in their gorgeous white gowns to attend Cinderella's wedding and even waved to them when they skated by. It really was beautiful! Claire and Alayna both had a fantastic time.

Princesses On Ice
Finally, the long-awaited day has arrived - Disney Princesses on Ice! Honey and Grandpa had bought Delaney's ticket for her 1/2 birthday and we invited Ness, Claire, Sarah, and Alayna to go with us. The girls have been talking about it for weeks.

I think we all got a glimpse of what prom will be like in 14 years! Even Honey and Claire's Nanny were there taking pictures of the girls all dressed up in their pretty dresses.
