Ugh! Harper is in the "I do it myself!" phase. While I am very anxious for my girls to be more independent and be able to help themselves, I am not pleased about this phase. You know what I'm talking about - the phase where a two year old thinks she can climb into her own carseat, or put on her own clothes, shoes, socks - even her own diaper! I know what you're thinking, if she can put on her own diaper, she is too old to be wearing diapers :) And while she can do all of those things to an extent (but not well and certainly not quickly) it sure tries my patience.
Something that cracks me up, though, is how different Delaney and Harper are about independence. Delaney would be thrilled if we would still carry her, dress her, feed her, or brush her teeth. Harper, however, wants to keep up with big sis, so she is determined to "do it myself!"
