Chopped!

Surprise! Delaney got all of her hair chopped off this morning! Since seeing the movie Tangled for her 4th birthday, she has been letting her hair grow. Recently, though, she has been saying that she wants to get her hair cut because it is too "notty" when Allan or I try to comb it. I promise it was all her idea!

I have to say that I was thrilled at the prospect of shorter hair - it sure would save me some time! Plus, I have always like Delaney's hair short.

Allan talked to her to make sure that she understood that her long hair would not be coming back. We all decided that we would wait to get it cut on Saturday morning, so that Uncle Kenny and Boo would not see it at Harper's family party and be mad :)

Delaney was so brave during her hair cut and never expressed any second thoughts. She says that she is very happy with it and keeps looking in the mirror to check herself out.

Ta Da! Even though she looks younger in this picture, Allan and I both agree that she looks more mature now. We love it!

****When Delaney came home from school today (Tuesday) she was happy to report that her friend Nick said that her hair was cute :)
