Eyeballs and Lincolnstein

One of Harper's favorite words right now is "eyeballs". I have no idea why she thinks it is so funny, but she says it a hundred times a day. She likes to call Daddy, "Mr. Eyeball". Other favorite phrases are "Oh, barnacle" and "Cuckoo on the head." Oh yeah, she also likes the word "underpants". To me the cutest thing she says is "On Mexico" when she's trying to say "On your marks, get set, Go!"

When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday breakfast she jokingly said, "Pancakes with eyeballs on top!" Imagine her surprise when I served her this:

It actually freaked her out a little bit and she wouldn't eat it. She insisted on her usual plain pancake with a puddle of syrup to dip it in.

Last week, Delaney's class prepared for President's Day by making paper plate pictures of Washington and Lincoln. She was very excited to tell me that I had the day off because of "Mr. Lincolnstein." :)
