Since Valentine's Day is on a Tuesday this year and I typically leave the house before the rest of the family is awake, we decided to celebrate this morning. As if we didn't already have enough stuff, I got the girls presents. Usually, I just get a little something, maybe a movie or a shirt. This year, I found the cutest owl plates, cups, and bowls at Target - perfect!
I had planned to get Harper a pettiskirt (big, poofy tutu) for her birthday because she just loves the little cheap one she has now. She wears it to bed and everything. However, I knew that it would not fly with Delaney if Harper got one and she didn't. So, I decided to get them both one for Valentine's Day - because I love them and I can!

Harper chose this one from the website a couple of weeks ago, but when she opened it she said, "This is not the one I wanted! Get me the iPad and I'll show you!"
Oh boy, was I angry at her ingratitude, especially since it WAS the one she picked out! Allan calmly said that we could just return it if she didn't like it, that she didn't have to have one. After a few minutes of pouting, she came around. It took me a little longer to come around :)

This is the one that Delaney had picked out, a combination of our two favorite colors - green for her and aqua for me.

Tutu cute!

This picture crackes me up. They are trying to see who is taller when Harper is on the stool. Delaney is trying so hard to beat her :)

We had our traditional Valentine pancakes along with a fruit salad with red Skittle surprises and chocolate milk all in their new dishes.
Super cute! I bought my kids good Valentine's gifts too just because I love them and I can :) (new shoes for everyone!) And they would have been very surprised, except I didn't realize Ben was reading this over my shoulder...damn.
ReplyDeleteLove them! They look darling. New dishes, great idea. you're a great mom, Jen! Happy Valentine's Day, from Gulf Shores!
